Our Services

Traffic Signals

CalTed provides full traffic signal services for both modifications and new installations and understands the constraints associated with existing conditions. The technology in the space of traffic signal design has evolved and there are numerous types of detection, coordination, and traffic management systems. CalTed works with individual Clients to develop a strategy for success that takes into account differential goals and resources to manage a traffic signal system network.

Signal Warrant Analysis

Traffic signal warrant analysis includes the collection of:

  • Alternative considerations to a traffic signal installation
  • Both pedestrian and vehicular traffic counts
  • Historical Crash Data
  • Roadway geometrics
  • Other Specialized Data When Appropriate including vehicle classifications and critical (85th percentile) speeds of approach vehicles
  • This information determines the need for a traffic signal to improve the overall safety and operations of a given intersection
